Skyhook Loaders
Nationwide, our range of Skyhooks has a reputation for giving a valuable, reliable and high quality service through their ability to perform a multitude of tasks. The concept is designed around addressing manual handling problems, thus lessening the likelihood of injury through manual over exertion. An example of their many uses is that they can be used as an anchorage point in confined areas from which to hang chain blocks, or they can be used in such a way as to attach a safety harness when working at height on trailers.

The small and medium sized Skyhook® ranges have been developed with the self-drive operator in mind. They offer surprising versatility for their size, and are exceptionally user friendly. They can effectively be used as a mini crane and are designed specifically for use in confined spaces and hazardous areas, the machines can perform delicate operations safely and effectively.
We offer a complete range of training and testing for drivers of Skyhooks®, whether they are novices or experienced, to a standard that is accredited and accepted on sites throughout the UK.

To complement the small and medium machines we have developed the larger Skyhook® range which is aimed towards heavy trailer towing and loading duties. By using a continuously slewing loader arm, the operator can easily load and unload his trailer without leaving the cab, or even uncoupling the trailer. This is one of the many areas where our machines out perform mini-cranes; a conventional crane is not permitted to tow a trailer.
While the medium sized machines have only hydraulic trailer braking systems, the larger Skyhook® also has air; enabling much heavier HGV trailers to be safely towed depending on site requirements.
